BHT
BHT is a critical stability ingredient in retinol formulations. Without it, retinol degrades rapidly. We use it at minimal effective concentrations to ensure our retinol products remain potent until the last drop.
MECHANISM
Hindered phenol antioxidant. Reacts with peroxyl and alkoxyl radicals via hydrogen-atom transfer. Prevents autoxidation of oils, retinol, and other oxidation-sensitive ingredients. Does not act directly on skin — it protects the formula.
