TOCOPHEROL

a.k.a. Vitamin E

Natural Vitamin E protects both the formula and the skin. In the formula, it prevents rancidity of oils. On the skin, it works synergistically with our Vitamin C derivatives to provide comprehensive antioxidant defense across both water and oil phases.

MECHANISM

Alpha-tocopherol — the primary lipid-soluble chain-breaking antioxidant. Donates a hydrogen atom to lipid peroxyl radicals, terminating oxidative chain reactions. Regenerated by Vitamin C in the antioxidant network. Directly protects cell membrane phospholipids.
