a.k.a. Seaweed Extract
Marine-derived polysaccharides provide a unique hydration mechanism — forming a protective, moisture-holding film on the skin surface. We use Chondrus Crispus in our seaweed and marine-focused formulations.
MECHANISM
Red seaweed (carrageenan) extract rich in sulfated polysaccharides, particularly kappa-carrageenan. Forms a protective hydrogel film on skin. Mineral-rich (iodine, calcium, magnesium) and antioxidant via superoxide radical scavenging.
