a.k.a. Propylene Glycol USP

USP-grade Propylene Glycol serves as both a humectant and an active solvent in formulations where we need to dissolve specific ingredients that are not soluble in water alone.

MECHANISM

1,2-Propanediol. Acts as both humectant and solvent with mild antimicrobial boosting properties. Enhances preservative efficacy and serves as an excellent solvent for organic UV filters. Lower skin irritation potential than ethanol.
